"My kids are my life, they changed me to be a better me and a better man. I went from a young guy with nothing to lose to a grown man with everything to lose. This picture shows my daughter and I. We are in Maui at the moment. My kids has turned a lot of my views around I love my kids and being their dad is amazing." ~ @xg0dzg1ftx
Love when this kiddo comes to visit me at work. He loves walking around, looking at the ambulances, 'driving' them, exploring the back. . . One of the best things I did was go back to work. I am lucky to work casual (no one says that! Lol), but it allows me to make my schedule around the kids and Alex's work, so someone is always home with the kids. we dont have to rely on childcare. We get the best of both worlds, working and knowing our boys always have a parent home. After being home with the kids full time for 3 years, I can honestly say that going back to work has made me a better mom. I miss them when I'm gone and when I come home I am so freaking excited to see them! I feel like I am giving them 100%. And can definitely say that was not the case when I was full time at home 😂 . . #downwithjaxandniko#downsyndrome#downsyndromeadoption#adoption#t21#jaxsonjames#nikodustin#paramedic#acp#advancedcareparamedic#momlife#worklife#bestofbothworlds#ahs#ahsems#takeyourkidtowork
Friday was a very special day at Mountain Humane. Coco has been at the shelter for 6 months waiting to find her forever home. Despite adoption promotions, extra behavior enrichment, consistently being everyone’s staff favorite, cute costumes, more playtime, and added volunteer attention – Coco just wasn’t getting noticed.
Little did we know someone had been eyeing her on the website since she came in. Coco’s new dad was in the process of buying his house and couldn’t adopt her until it was officially his. We can’t help but think that maybe it was fate. Coco’s dad moved into his house and called us to make sure she was still available – she was! He came down the next day and adopted her right away. Check out the video by clicking the link in our bio of the adoption and Coco on her way to her new life! #adopted#mastiff#pitbull#adoption#animalshelter#mountain#humane#idaho#rescuedogs#adoptabledogs
He is the absolute light and joy of my life. He is eight and a half months old. His first two teeth emerged last week and are slowly creeping upward. He's begun to tentatively crawl a few shuffles at a time in the last two days but he likes to spend most of his time on his feet exploring. When he wakes up at night, he scooches over and puts his head on my shoulder and falls back asleep. I hope someday he has an inkling of the extent to which his mere existance has brought brilliant light to our corner of the world.
Watching Graham and Ansley love Sadie has been one of my favorite things about adoption. They have seen her challenged and have been a helping hand. They have seen her hurting and have comforted her. They have seen her at her worst and offered patience. As our family grew, their hearts did the same. One of my main concerns in adoption was, “how will this effect the kids?” Well the answer is, in the very best way possible. Through adoption they have been able to love like never before. They have possessed the fruit of the spirit, and I have had the pleasure of witnessing it all. #adoption#chinaadoption#wecouldhavemissedthis
