Ordinary Time: Justice, Hope & Adoption
"This is my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, with whom I am well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. He will not wrangle or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets. He will not break a bruised reed or quench a smoldering wick until he brings justice to victory. And in his name the Gentiles will hope." Pictured, a serene view of a nearby lake made to look like an ocean one with the Clarendon filter.
What a powerful promise above. My ancestry as a Gentile is ushered into the royal line of David by our Savior Jesus Christ initiated by the cleansing power of repentance and Baptism. That's Love! God's massive act of adoption.
As a CradIe Catholic, I still do not understand yet all the doctrine & theology of Catholicism, but as a protective devoted mother, I understand infant Baptism. In my belief, claiming this hope and justice for our newborn child is the most loving action we can do as a parent once our baby is born. Of course, feeding and diapering is necessary, too.
