I remember stepping foot in Europe for the first time. It was Paris, 2013. The hustle and bustle of Charles’s de Gaulle airport was something new to me, but very welcoming.
We took our bags, passed through the immigration and headed for the train station. My husband, Raj, is a lot taller than me and so with one stride that he takes, equals two steps from me.
So he was leading the way and as soon as he entered the train, and before I could enter, the train door shuts in front of me, and off the train went, taking my husband along with him.
Thank God we had discuss about the next stop that we need to be in before the change of trains so I boarded the next train that headed to the same direction and alighted at the agreed stop. Need less to say that when we found each other, both our faces were ashen... and the first thing that came out of my husband’s mouth was... “I was thinking of every possible explanation to give to your brothers for losing you!”
Now, five years later, in a week or so, we’re heading back to Europe once again, and we’re visiting the east this time round. I can’t wait for more adventures ahead!
