Marius Chukwurah, M.D is a Nigerian-American from Baltimore, MD. He completed his undergraduate studies at UMBC and medical studies at Howard University. He spent the last 4 years on the admissions committee at Howard and last 2 as a regional director of the Student National Medical Association. Within these roles, he was dedicated in minority recruitment efforts, service to the community, and advocacy for the underserved.
He is currently a resident physician at Duke University Hospital, and now serves as the liaison for the medicine department of the Duke Minority House Staff Association with aspirations to assist in the diversification of the face of medicine.
With less than 2% of doctors in the US being black males, he is a strong product and example of why #HowardMedicineMatters.
