Bismillah. In light of the recent Christchurch, New Zealand 🇳🇿 mass shooting and the way the leadership is being raved about, I’m admirable of how people of the world are showering the situation with love, sympathy and support.
The campaign to wear the hijab/ veil last Friday to commemorate the one week since the passing of innocent victims means a lot to me - showing respect, embracing diversity and inclusion and portraying equality in humanity.
Observing PM Jacinda Ardern and many others in the hijab in these period, it striked my heart and reminds me of my trip to Kusadasi, Turkey 🇹🇷 having spent some time in the home of Mother Mary. I always adored her and she’s always been one of my favourite women role models since my schooling days in Fairfield Methodist here in Singapore 🇸🇬 With this light, I’m also thinking the event have occured unnecessarily but it also could be a message of love for our non-Muslim sisters.
We bring peace and glad tidings.
I’m grateful you sisters are adorning the hijab just as Mother Mary did. And you ladies look extremely beautiful in it. Maybe it’s a sign for you to upkeep to follow ‘The Immaculate Heart’ as your role model. “You are highly favoured.” “Do not be afraid, you have found favour with God.” Much Love,
Your Sister in faith ❤️ p.s. You are Us. We are One ☝🏽 #we #bring #peace
