Life is a one man journey. You're born in to this world alone. You leave this world alone. Undoubtedly along the way you will form attachments with people. Some are meant to be in your life, others maybe not. So be not disheartened by those lost along the way. Do not despair at the thought of living life without them. -
The Prophet ﷺ is a perfect example of this. At such a young age, he lost his mother Aminah, she who stayed awake at night to take care of him, to nurture him, he was but a child and this was one of the first losses he was to endure. Passed in to the care of his grandfather Abdul Muttalib, who loved and cherished him, but eventually also departed from this world. -
Later on in his life, he lost his emotional support, the one who comforted him when he was afraid, when he had nothing to offer her, she was there for him, Khadeejah رضي الله عنها. What a great loss he had to experience.
No sooner was it that he had to endure another great loss, that of his uncle, Abu Talib, he was his physical protection, he safeguarded him from the harms and evil intentions of Quraysh. This year was known as the year of grief for he endured the most grief he had ever endured. Two very important people, two people who supported him physically and emotionally left this world. Yet Allah taught him how to cope, Allah taught him that Allah would always remain, that Allah would always be there for him. And as long as he had Allah, Allah would suffice. -
Make dua to Allah, dua goes a long way. Whatever burden lays heavy on your chest, hand it over to Him. He will suffice you. Anything you endure today, any grief you feel, Allah can erase it. Be sincere in supplication, ask Him to remove the pain, and He will. Loss is temporary. Grief is temporary. Allah is Ever Living. Jannah is Ever Lasting. -
