Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it. ~ Andy Rooney
By focusing solely on the end game, it is likely you will miss the wonder of the journey. Instead, work toward your goals, but also allow time and space to be gentle with yourself, stop and pick a few daisies along the way, take naps, and be curious about the places and people you meet along the way. In this, you may find the extraordinary in an ordinary rock, profound beauty in a swirl of leaves kicked up by a passing breeze, and that the end game you thought was the be all, end all is far less important than the myriad of sights, experiences, and people you encountered along the way. ~ Marykay
The simple act of cooking food with Josefina got me to thinking ... and apparently a bit philosophical. This is her garden, 8 years in the making, I am told. Several trees are propped up by broom handles or 2" x 4"s or whatever was available, but that's a garden for you; perfectly imperfect, ever changing, hard but rewarding work ~ in short it's perfect metaphor for life. .
Aaaaand, Josefina gets bonus points for the best use of an aerobics step ever!
