So lucky to have learnt from the best of the best yesterday with @ftiglobal in a 5 hour Functional Training Masterclass! We focused on one of the fundamental movements of training - THE HIP HINGE.
One of the most important movements which deliver explosive power and when performed correctly, help to reduce sheer forces from the lower back.
When people can't perform the hip hinge with proper technique, they start to encounter problems such as neck, back, knee and ankle pain. Without strong foundations, the body starts to crumble. After learning the principles, we practiced applying the hip hinge movement to functional bags, kettle bells and ropes.
So inspired by the level of knowledge presented by @the_coach_of_coaches and @kevinfrazier1999 and grateful to be able to compound my love for movement, personal training and physiotherapy into one. #alwayslearning#alwayschasing#alwayshungry#alwaysgrowing
