Massively motivated after Sunday’s PB at the Telford 10k and determined to knockoff off those 7 seconds! So it was back to the hard yards this morning (easy spin on bike yesterday) with 5x6mins [1min jog recovery] at tempo pace as the sun rose over Pittville Park. Loved it! . . . . .

I remember when I marveled at folks who ran 6 miles as though they were some sort of olympian athlete.
Now I'm out on a run before work and decide that I should JUST do 6 today because I got out of the house late.
Moral of the story. I am not a natural runner. This doesn't come to me easily. I simply show up 3 or 4 days a week and put in work hoping for slow progress along the way.
You can do the same!
Especially my fellow blacks. Our community has to do much better with health and fitness education. It makes me sad to see almost all of us watch our parents and some of our peers deteriorate from diabetes and high blood pressure while we accept it as normal and don't do anything to change it. Let's break the chain! Walk. Run. Bike. Swim. Doesn't matter. Just get out and do something that improves your cardiovascular system and overall health a few times a week. It's so worth it!
Progress is progress. Sometimes it comes slow and small, but sometimes it doesn’t take long to see huge improvements. Regardless, be proud of the progress made. It only takes 1 second to PR. Be proud but never settle. ✌🏼 jenn
