No good fairytale is complete without a witch, and we introduce you to ours on today’s #MeetTheCastMonday, played by Debbie Brennan
Debbie trained from the age of 5 years old at Dorothy Marshall School of Dance and Drama in London completing dance exams and LAMDA medals. After treading the boards at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, The Palladium and The Prince Edward Theatre London she completed a professional summer season in Cromer as lead vocalist. But the highlight of her career was working with top MD John Owen Edwards and producing a CD which went on sale in Dress Circle London.
Debbie has appeared at local theatres and her roles have included 'Sally' (Me & My Girl), 'Polly' (Crazy for You), 'Chiffon' (Little Shop of Horrors), 'Mabel' (Mack & Mabel), 'Sue' (Slice of Saturday Night), 'Barbara' (Billy), 'Lorraine' (Boogie Nights), 'Anna' (King & I), 'Lucy' (Jekyll & Hyde), 'Julie Jordan' (Carousel) 'Yvonne' (Bad Girls), 'Grandma' (Wedding Singer), 'Ida' (Honk), 'Stella' (Summer Holiday), 'Mother Abbess' (Sound of Music) 'Velma' (Hairspray), and ‘Mother Superior’ (Sister Act). Debbie has directed several pantomimes and in 2013 took amateur productions in Medway to a new level with the use of projection screen imagery for 'The Wizard of Oz' winning the company a NODA accolade. She used projection again in our pantomime 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' setting a new trend at the Brook Theatre.
Debbie achieved Distinction in her A.L.C.M. Qualification and is a vocal coach teaching privately and in schools locally.
Debbie can’t wait to be a little bit wicked in this production.
