"The Israelites had moved about in the wilderness forty years..."
Hey there, gorgeous! God had predestined a great blessing for the Israelites. After being freed from captivity in Egypt, they were traveling to the Promise Land; a land flowing of milk and honey. But, they chose to be blinded by the fact that there were "giants" in the land, rather than the promise of that land being theirs, because God made it so.
The Israelites decided to see all the negative, all the uncertainty, and all the obstacles that lay before them to enter the Promise Land. But, the Israelites did not identify with the fact that they were God’s chosen people; and who God chooses, He prepares, and molds. They didn’t see the obstacles as moments to grow, moments to see the blessing more clearly, moments to step further into their identity in Christ. They were standing right in front of their promise, and didn’t see the glory of their blessing, but the effort it took to manifest it; not believing that God had prepared them to fight for it, and see, wholeheartedly, the fullness of the blessing.
When we surround ourselves with uncertainty, problems, old ways of thinking, even what our past experiences tell us, we miss, completely, the beauty of God’s blessings. We could be right in the middle of a blessing, and choose to see our issues and our so-called disqualifications, instead of what God wants to show us in the blessing. Because, a blessing isn’t just a gift, “SHE IS FAM”, it is a chance to go deeper with God, a chance to grow, a chance to stand for what is right, a chance to use our God-given voice in a way that we may have never used it before. A blessing from God can have many levels. It’s not just a surface level gift, but a gift that stretches us, a gift that helps reach even the darkest corners of the world, a gift that ever flows… with milk, and honey. A blessing is proof that God is always there: watching over you, caring for you, and working within you, so you become greater, and more like Christ.👇🏽
