Anaita Shroff Adajania wears many hats. As the fashion director at #Vogue #India and #celebrity #stylist to #Bollywood’s inner circle, she is the ultimate # fashion authority. Adajania is back with her sought-after masterclass at Vogue Wedding Show this year, where she will be decoding the season’s top #trends, as well as the most fitting #bridal looks and #jewellery for every #wedding function.
This season, Adajania urges brides to think beyond customary reds and golds. “Brides are now turning towards romantic hues such as rose pink, cream and grey in an effort to embrace modernity. They are choosing to go fuss-free versus the usual excessiveness associated with an Indian wedding.” ‘The heavier, the better’ is no longer the only acceptable bridal wear mantra. The same goes for ‘more is more’ jewellery. Modern brides are rightly giving style and comfort equal importance. The expert advises brides to be themselves, rather than being blinded by the overwhelming number of trends that surface each season. “Think two years ahead when shopping for your trousseau. Ensure that the ensembles you invest in won’t become quickly outdated down the line. Understand your body type and be true to yourself when choosing your bridal attire. Spend enough time researching the kind of outfit you want,” she says.
