Lower Anteloupe Canyon, Page Arizona. This was by far one of the most surreal and beautiful place Ive had the privilege to witness. Former over millions of years of flash flooding erosion, the rock formations in some places are so smooth, they almost look like ice cream scoops. Picture 3 was one of the most intriguing pictures. Our Navajo tour guide told us that they call this rock “The chief” due to its unreal resemblance to a native chief making a call, all natural and unaltered rock. Anyone else see the resemblance?
The beautiful purple and orange tints are a result of the rock matter, some are more magnesium based and others iron. If you ever stop in this neck of the woods dont miss out, try to take the photography tour if you want to take your time! As @rtphotographee and I can attest to.
