Third personal trainer session in three days! ✅✅✅

It was cold and dark when I woke up at 6:30am. I could hear the rain pissing down against the window and I was praying that I didn’t have to train today... 🙏🏻
.
BUT I did it and I feel great for it. Such a big achievement which I don’t give myself enough credit for.
.
Weight loss to date:
.
May 2018 = 135 kilos
December 2018 = 108.9 kilos
.
Massive weight loss but also a massive improvement in my mental health.
.
Haven’t got another session until next Friday but I will continue to work hard in between Christmas and New Year. I will let my hair down a little but my programme is far more important thank a few extra mince pies ... (and I love a mince pie!)

Off to visit my Nan in a little while to catch up and spend some quality time with her. She’s the most important woman in my life right now, who I absolutely adore. Looking forward to her company again.

It is vitally important during pregnancy to focus on your mental wellbeing and reduce stress. .
When we are dealt with a stressful situation particular organs produce and release stress hormones which help our body cope with stress and anxiety. These hormones can cross the placental barrier and have an adverse effect to your developing baby. .
So if your pregnant take the time to look after your emotional health - when you are feeling well, content and happy you are better able to manage stress. .
Also if your reading this and not pregnant - it’s just as important that you look after your emotional well being too!! .

Most people are shocked at what I spend on food, supplements and fitness.
And the time I spend on cooking.. food prep... dishes... sleeping!!
And yet I used to spend the same if not more on alcohol, pills, partying, shopping, therapy!

Why is making health a priority so abnormal?
When I have cured my clinical depression naturally?
Why am I weird?
I know I am extreme.. And you seriously do NOT need to be as extreme as me to benefit!
But isn't your one body, one life kinda worth it?
I want to get the very best out of life.
And this starts with health doesn't it?

We all know someone who has suffered or is suffering from serious illness.
The medication, the doctors, the surgery, the expense...
That kinda lifestyle seems weird to me...?
Why are expensive medical bills more normal than my weekly food shopping spend?

But the core of the issue, in my humble opinion, is we are just not taught how to nourish our bodies at school.
It's actually not our fault.
My nutrition education up until 6 years ago was from advertisements & food labels.
You know the cleverly designed marketing to get us to buy their product..?
No wonder we are all confused!!

My first live training in my new private Facebook group is on the diet I recommend to support you to balance your emotions, handle stress better, reduce anxiety & control cravings.
Not quite as extreme as my diet.. but if you adopt even a few of my food habits it will make a difference 👍🏻

‘TIS THE SEASON!
I’m so excited for family time next week! As I’ve gotten older I’ve enjoyed Christmas so much more, spending time with loved ones.

But for the last couple of years my IBS has got the better of me around this time of year (hello endless alcohol and food), and while I tend to let it slide most of the time, my gut has been terrible the past couple of weeks - so here’s what I’m going to do next week to make sure I can still enjoy allllll the food but maintain a relatively comfortable belly:

1. Try and keep my onion and garlic intake to a minimum - this is one of my biggest triggers
2. Be active every day - whether it’s a gym session or a walk in the sun
3. RELAX (meditate, sleep, go to the beach, do a face mask, have ‘me’ time) - stress and anxiety are big triggers for me and what is wreaking havoc on my gut at the moment!
4. Stop eating when I get full - did you know that sometimes IBS can actually be managed with portion control? This is something I struggle with 🙈
5. Take a probiotic every day
