Most people will look at this photo of my heart rate data and immediately notice how many calories were “burned”.
You don’t burn calories, you earn them. Your body has enough stored energy to walk or jog or ride a bike or even skip your way from New York to Florida. The point of posting this photo is to notice that the heart rate never exceeded 150 bpm. It was a metabolic bodyweight strength workout, focusing on keeping yourself in an aerobic zone while performing full body circuits. Keeping the intensity low, and the movement relatively constant as rest time stayed low, allowed a lot of work to be done Without stressing the body too much. Learning to vary your intensity based on your training goals and needs, can allow you longevity in your Fitness life; while maintaining a healthy heart and circulatory system, along with allowing you to train at higher intensities when needed to achieve maximum performance.
If you’d like the work out, message me and I’ll send it to you and you can try for yourself!
