Drop Julia a like and a comment for being our March #soldierofthemonth !
She’s not only one of our youngest clients, but one of our MOST DEDICATED. No, she doesn’t workout fanatically, or starve herself or worry about calories. She trains hard, listens to her trainer’s advice and takes part in plenty of recovery methods to ensure her success. Her lifts have increased significantly since training with us and she is on the way to running her FIRST half marathon!

Making healthier food choices? Raw nuts can be a popular choice of the health conscious. Little problem though; phytates. They can cause (and usually do) GI distress and block the nutrients from the nuts.
So roasted nuts makes perfect sense. Little problem with those too;
Oils. The oils used by companies to roast the nuts are usually palm, peanut or soy. Superrrrr inflammatory. 🤭
Easy fix; find DRY roasted or even better, roast em yourself! Then you can flavor, spice, salt and everything else under the sun to make them delicious and KEEP them good for you and your gut!

Sometimes the simplest of variations can produce maximum activation and result. Looking to challenge your adductors a little bit? Add in a static adductor band hold, along with your palloff presses and let your core light up like a Christmas tree 🔥🎄 3 to 5 sets of 8 to 12 reps, be careful with the band tension as you want to be able to hold a strict position!

This is Phil.
Phil is between 60 and 65 years old.
Phil has been with Bodyrite for
2.5 years.
Phil does ALL of the warmup/activation drills he is given.
Phil follows the rest of his workout program to a T.
Phil participates in group fitness 2-3 times a week and personal training 1/week. He isn’t afraid of pushing his weight selection. He isn’t afraid to be uncomfortable, to make progress. Phil has lost weight/inches, decreased his body-fat and improved his golf game by incorporating a Bodyrite lifestyle.

Progressing to more complex movement patterns like a kettle bell clean to squat to press, can accelerate fat loss by keeping energy use high while building full body muscle mass. Functional fitness is designed to attack your weaknesses to improve the efficiency of your movement.

There is only one way to achieving the body composition you desire; It requires progressively overloading your body and improving your strength in the main lifts. If you are not consistently trying to squat more or deadlift more or improve your push-up, you will not achieve the desired result. After a certain level of strength and fitness is attained, maintenance workouts can be used to keep the body healthy. If you have not reached the body composition you seek AND you’ve been training for two years or more; you are not focusing on getting stronger.
