Say hello to Bodyrite’s #soldierofthemonth of November!
Teresa has been killing it in her training programs, no matter how busy she is! She has dedicated the last two months to partaking in our FITCAMP program; a food and exercise accountability program we offer. More importantly she has been dialed in with her nutrition over the last two months. In that short amount of time she has lost almost 20 pounds and several inches all across her body. Her body fat percentage is down almost 5% as well!

Huevos rancheros, Bodyrite style.
Brown 4 ounces of ground bison, and set aside. While the meet is cooking, scramble two eggs and 1 ounces of water in a small mixing bowl for 60 seconds.
Sauté diced peppers/onions for four minutes, then add in baby spinach.
As the spinach starts to cook evenly pour the egg mixture over the vegetables. Cook on low and mix often , to keep the eggs fluffy. 3 to 4 minutes of cooking should suffice, as the eggs start to set throw the ground bison Back into the pan, add 1 tablespoon of goat cheese. Turn the pan off and let it sit for two minutes as the eggs will continue to cook. If you need more carbohydrates serve over 1 cup of cooked and diced sweet potatoes. To keep it lower carbohydrate/calorie, Served over a bed of baby arugula. Add sriracha or hot sauce to your liking!

Say hello to our soldier of the month for the month of October!
Karen started with us only doing yoga and eventually transitioned into doing group strength training as well. Since the summertime she has made a wonderful effort to maintain 3 to 4 days a week of strength training along with tracking her nutrition intake by submitting nutritional Logs to her trainers each week. Loaded carries!
From farmers walks to waiters walks and everything in between, loaded carries are one of the most efficient ways to train your whole body.
this variation shown, the front loaded kettle bell carry is an amazing way to feel how your abs help with your posture and body control. Stacking your spine and keeping your hips drawn in, you will feel the column of stability you create from your head to your toes. Try 4 to 5 sets of 30 to 50 yard walks, with at least a third of your body weight in your hands.

Lower back bothering you while squatting? While there can be multiple issues causing the pain, learning to brace your core musculature can definitely help eliminate or reduce the pain. Your core is way more than just what you see when you pull your shirt up at the gym to peek at your abs in the mirror ( btw’s, stop doing that...).
This drill will definitely get you to feel that your core is “turned on”. Don’t go crazy heavy! This is not a shoulder dominant move even though you will feel it in the front!
(Im using a 26lb kettlebell)

Key points:
Keep your scapula retracted ( pull your wings back) when you extend the weight in front.
You can use a weight plate or a kettlebell; dumbbells work but are a little awkward to grab.
Look for 2-3 sets of 12-20 reps to work your strength endurance.
