And here I come with some more dubbing curiosities
I was going to do Mikasa, but do you remember what I said in my IG stories? Yep I changed my mind and did Erwin instead. Why? You're about to find out.
Let's start with some basic info
Erwin's italian voice actor is Alessandro Quarta (@/ alessandroquarta.official, on IG) and was born on 17 May 1970 in Rome. He started acting as a theatre actor at the age of 6 and only after a short time performed as voice actor. He is now one of the most important voices in the field. He is a great singer too and won some prizes.
Other famous characters he dubbed are >Mickey Mouse (who he is the official voice actor since 1995 of), >Berlin (Pedro Alonso) from Money Heist (La casa de papel) > Nick Wilde from Zootopia
> Randall P. Havens (don't know the name of the character) from Stranger Things
>Chris McLean from Total Drama
>Miss Piggy from The Muppets (SO SORRY I COULDN'T FILM ALL OF THESE)
And literally and endless list of maaany many more characters and actors
So you guys don't know that I am currently studying/practicing dubbing to become a voice actress (which is honestly my life goal), so I'm to a voice acting school in which he is one of my main directors (basically meaning he is one of my teachers). A couple of days ago, the sound technician who is a big ass weeaboo asked him how was it to dub Erwin. NOW he is not the anime-type of person, like he says he usually doesn't understand what goes on there and stuff like that so I was expecting him to say it was a terrible experience and he didn't like that at all BUT HE SAID HE ENJOYED IT A LOT YWTQGAISB
This made so happy, but at the same time I was sorry for him bc he doesn't know what season 3 has in store for Erwin😭😭😭
Oh, and I can assure you he is an amazing person. I love lessons with him because he is really encouraging, not only for things that concern dub, but for real life too. His life tips are goldin my opinion. Also, he is very easy going and SUPER FUNNY we always have lots of fun with him😂😂
