Made a quick trip to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City yesterday to see a pediatric neurologist and we are SO glad we did.
Dr. Coffman had great attention to detail, he picked up on so much from her in our visit. We have a different rescue med, one that is easier to administer, as well as a more specific plan in place for medicinal management. He also addressed her (and mom’s) frequently interrupted sleep, hopefully that will lead to better quality of life for us all. 🙌🏻 He was encouraged by her social interaction, talkativeness, and reaching.
His knowledge was vast and gave us confidence in his ability to treat her and be proactive. We will see him every 3 months as she grows. As he put it, this is an energy disorder and it will change as she does. A little scary to realize, yet again, there is no figuring AHC out, that this monster could be completely different tomorrow. But, we are thankful to have him on her team to always be looking for the next best thing FOR LANDRY.
