Brutal. I recently tuned into @canvaskiller_ live feed as he described the motivations for his new book “All I See is Color Not Enough Light”. It really hit home. He spoke about not hiding from but sharing our unique stories that make us. The good, bad and especially the ugly. Sharing as an act of service, especially amongst creatives. We are not alone in the horrors that developed us, and as we share we see how connected we are. We can empower others by not being afraid to speak our truths. I’ve been exploring this through my paintings recently and it’s been an amazing release. Now the ideas for paintings flood my mind, as memories are triggered and I contemplate how to express the. I’m exploring different mediums, techniques, whatever to get the feelings out on “canvas”. I ordered my copy of Will’s book and can’t wait to share more as I read it. Explorations of self, the perceptions of my reality.

This is a crop of a piece I’m working on now... I don’t know if I’ll ever share the whole thing. Only time will tell.
