The House of Tomorrow, now in theaters! This movie was filmed two summers ago in Minnesota. Minnesota used to be a state where major movies were regularly made. And then those in government decided to start shrinking the #snowbate funding that had a hand in enticing film, tv, and commercial shoots to base their projects here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. We have the talent, locations, and skills needed to draw the work here, but it can be done cheaper elsewhere where better incentives are in place so instead they head to places like Atlanta. The influx of money gained from having this business in Minnesota more than compensates for the funding paid out, but some people in government can’t seem to do math. And so we regularly loose to other states where they can do math and appreciate the influx of money and creativity that movies, tv, and commercial shoots bring. So, go see The House of Tomorrow! Appreciate that this is a little independent film made with a few big names and that they were willing to create it in The Land of Sky Blue Waters, that it was important to them to do so because they had Minnesota connections. Oh, and if you see a red headed punk in a mosh pit, or walking down a dark road, or sullenly taking up space on patio then they didn’t cut my scenes and that is in fact me. Thank you to @adstecker for the second photo taken on the night, well morning actually right around dawn, that the movie wrapped.
