Some days I feel good about myself physically, some says I don't. It might depend on how I've been training or eating, if I've been sick, how my emotional state is or how my sleep has been, or what I have achieved with my body.
I'm feeling a bit blah today after a bit of a cheat eating and very sore weekend which has limited my activity, I probably shouldn't have combined the two.
But on the whole at the moment I am incredibly proud of what my body is achieving during training and over the past 7 years. Cancer, pregnancy and depression have definitely taken a toll on my body but f*ck those things. I can do what I want anyway. So here's to deadlifts (just not sumos), air bikes, climbing silks and spinning in poles. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

My journey into the fitness industry started from my love of rhythmic gymnastics, where I was a representative at a national and international level.

At the start of the month Samuel and I set a goal. His birthday is on July the 31st and I wanted to do something special for him.
Samuel loves movies and gaming so I told him if he could lift a 140kg deadlift before his birthday I would take him to the movie of his choice and take him to timezone.
His current best deadlift was 132.5kg which we have been working on consistently for the last year as our goals have shifted from weight-loss to performance.
Yesterday... we hit 140kg πŸ™Œ

I said what movie are we going to?

Yaaaaasssssss! Yesterday I squatted my personal best yesterday of 80kgs. And then I jumped around the gym for the rest of the session because I was super stoaked. And also waaayyyyy nicer to @athletetrainingsystems than I had been on Tuesday when I failed the squat.

Ok so I got a little anxiety when I realised I didn't have a session planned for today. So I went and airbiked and deadlifted. I got a PB of 102.5kgs. Yaaasssss b*tches. I started lifting at 87.5kgs 3 weeks ago. I'm pretty impressed with myself. And I hated the airbike but now it's what is pick over anything else.
Also this girl is my long lost training buddy.

When you reach breaking point that’s when there’s a deep chemical change that will make you stronger and more willing to succeed.

After focusing on my running, lifting has taken a backseat... Today I decided to be the driver again.

Our 4 Weeks To Strong program focuses on improving Squat, Bench and Deadlift.
While putting a large emphasis on conditioning to increase overall performance aerobically and anaerobic.
It's always hard to balance all aspects of training as one generally tends to take over. In my case I've been doing a lot of trail running and events.
Pretty happy to pull a 200kg Deadlift for 3 today especially while my bodyweight is about 5kg less. Still had plenty in the tank but needed to remind myself to stay neurally fresh and trust the process.
Looking forward to testing everyone's 1RMs in a few weeks πŸ™Œ
