“I don’t have time” —> that’s got to be one of the most common popular excuses why people tell me they can’t start working out or eating healthy.
Well I get it, we’re all busy, we all have “life happening”, but ultimately we make time for what’s important to us.

So I share with you my success sister’s story to show you that you CAN do it too, if you’re willing!
Rachel is a busy mom of 2 children, works FULL TIME outside of the home, works part time as a coach, her hubby (my little bro 😆) often is working long hours, so she’s on her own with the kids a lot, her son plays hockey, oh and she is in the process of selling & buying a new home.

Despite of all of this, she still MAKES TIME to take care of her. No excuses. If you want it bad enough, you’ll make it happen.
.

This morning I had no intentions of waking up early to workout before my girls woke up, but the baby got her leg stuck in her crib bars and woke me up anyways- so I figured I’m up, might as well get it done 🤣 fasted cardio HIIT for 25 mins followed by some pelvic floor exercises. 👍🏼 glad I got it done before everyone woke up because it was a whirlwind kinda morning 😳 .

An order of liquid gold and super food coming right up!

I was never one for breakfast and I certainly couldn’t drink a meal.. even when I did eat breakfast it was plain and unsatisfying which lead me to binge on carbs and sweets in the afternoon 🍫
.
Now... this is my lifeline. Last week I had an unplanned stay with my grandma and didn’t have my shake so I ate a protein carb and fruit for breakfast. Guys I was STARVING within an hour. 😱
.
I’m never hungry after my shake. It has everything my body needs, protein, vitamins and nutrients, probiotics and so much more. It keeps me full, energized, doesn’t make me crave sweets, helps my gut health, tastes delicious and I can eat it anywhere super easily! 🙌
.
I wish I would have had this in college going to classes spending money on smoothies and junk food. But I’ll say this is my ultimate #momhack now and I’d be lost without it!

My dirty secret is I use food as comfort. I use to eat chocolate, cookies and cake at night after my kids went to sleep. I used it so I would feel happy. It was my “Reward” at the end of a long day.
-
This pattern went on for a looooong time. I couldn’t fit in my pants, had zero energy, was depressed and developed a host of health problems.
-
That’s when I decided that NOBODY was coming to save me and I had to save myself. Was it easy to take the first step!? Absolutely not!!! It was scary and I gave myself a million excuses why I couldn’t take control of my life....but then I thought of the biggest reason why I needed too.
-
ME.💗 Of course my kids and husband are my everything but this was for my well being. I needed this so I could be the BEST version of myself so I could give that to them.

Wherever you are in your own life please don’t ever give up. It’s NEVER too late, your not too old or too far gone. Girlfriend!! You are so worth it.😘

I am around little people ALL day! Three of them to be exact. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE staying home with my girls... sometimes I wish that maybe I could leave for a little bit at least. But right now my main purpose and job is to be Mom to them. That should be enough, right? To be honest with you, it’s not.

I needed something more, something for me and something that I could have conversations with adults 😜 While searching for that thing to help myself lose weight and feel better I found out I could also help other women do the same thing!! ❤️ Now I have even more purpose and it makes better as a Mom. I am working on myself not only for myself, but to show others it can be done! If a mom of 3 under 3 can do it, so can you!! 👍

21 days later and I feel like a new person!
.
-12 pounds and 7.5 inches in 21 days while still eating 3 meals a day and a snack! And workouts were not required either. I 100% believe that food is medicine. Not mad about it! 😝

This round was definitely more of a struggle mentally for me. Actually, I almost cheated and went and ate Cafe Rio on day 17 🙈 BUT I didn’t, cause the satisfaction I get from starting something and FINISHING it 100% is a much better feeling than breaking those promises to myself.

I was on the struggle bus all of August and feel like I finally have control of my nutrition again! Anyone else? 🙋🏻‍♀️

NEW WORKOUT: Today was a little Cardio/Core Stability work - Warm up was different variations of battle ropes - followed by 30 minutes on level 10 of the stair master - then finally core stability Ab exercises. •
Alternating Battle Ropes - 4x : 15 seconds
In&Out Waves - 4x : 15 seconds
Slams - 4x : 15 seconds
30 Minutes Stair Master
Superset:
Hanging Knee Raises 3 x 8
Shoulder Plank Taps 3 x 12
Russian Twists - Bridges 3 x 20

Needless to say, my core is one of the weaker areas of my body as well. My goal is to work towards controlling my CORE -
Hanging Knee Raises: Notice the constant swinging. Once the core strengthens you should be able to control the raising of your knees/legs without causing your body to sway. PURE CORE
-
High Plank / Shoulder taps: the goal also is to limit your body from swaying and stabilizing the plank position, while balancing with one arm -

Russian Twist Bridges: I notice that often times when doing this exercise there’s a lot of motion in the hips/lower half of the body instead of completely turning with your core. 🙋🏽‍♀️ Guilty is this as well •

What an amazing day I had with my Husband 💜

Days like today don't happen very often we spent the whole day together and didn't argue once. I don't think?

We even agreed on the new pair of glasses that I got for me. I am so excited cuz I finally got some transitions but I won't have until next week!!!! Hopefully the last pair of glasses that I buy it for a while. A pair of glasses can get pretty pricey with all the bells and whistles. .

Finished off by going grocery shopping for breakfast burrito fixings for the track on Sunday. Races are in Lakewood this weekend!
YES!!!!

Now to get that workout in OH yeah I'm still in the workout. I feel so guilty if I didn't.

Beast Cardio and Abs

I got my workout done around 10 am but the day got away from me and I’m just now getting to post! I know everybody has been waiting in anticipation! 😂

I was asked today if I’m in a lupus flare or if this is a progressive part of the disease. Honestly, I don’t know. And, it doesn’t matter to me because it doesn’t change what I do.

I will tell you that working out has become a lot more difficult! And there are days when I just don’t want to do it! But that’s where discipline comes in. And the years of doing this day in and day out and wanting it is best for my body every single day vs what feels good in the moment has paid off. Now it’s automatic. I feel a pull or a tag to get myself out of this hard time and get to work!
And I have a group of ladies who have my back. Support is so important when you go through hard times!
This life and this body are a blessing. It’s my job to show up for it every day. Transformation pictures are looking a little bit different these days!

I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the 6 pack I worked so hard for but I am also beyond grateful (and amazed) at how my body is accommodating, preparing and working to grow a tiny person!
.
I also enjoy a challenge and I'm actually looking forward to having a bomb postpartum transformation. Not simply out of vanity, but mostly because I want to prove to myself and others that healthy is possible at every stage of life, even the sleep deprived ones.
.
In fact, healthy is arguably most important during pregnancy and early years because taking care of yourself allows you to take care of your family. Everything you do and everything they see you do shapes who they are and how they view themselves in the context of the world.
.
The reason I can confidently say that I will have an amazing transformation is because I know that I have a team of people behind me that support and cheer me on to be my best in all seasons. I have a team of moms behind me that have shown me they could do it. If they can do it, I can too. I know this season will come with new challenges and I am looking forward to facing every one of them. .
People thrive in healthy communities and I am so grateful for mine, especially as I watch my body undergo such a huge physical transformation.

Finished Liift4 today 🤩💪 Ya know, that 8 week at home workout program I was doing!? I finished a few days late because of traveling 🙊 I have no idea about my measurements or my weight, cause frankly I didn’t care. I KNOW I gained muscle and a WHOLE bunch of confidence, not just in my body - but mentally too. I never would’ve guessed I could complete a workout program while pregnant with my fifth baby. AHH. Thankfully it was a super flexible program that was 30-40 minute and 3 rest days- super attainable with our crazy schedule and kids 😂 Can’t wait to see what round ✌️holds!! #theregotheschafers

Total late post but ummm yeah this is a thing! I have goal to reach and I won’t be doing it sitting on my ass. I need to build muscle while keeping my flexibility and endurance. Running 5k at end of the month, Personal goal to reach in 4 weeks. Soldiers half marathon in November. Haven’t decided if I’m running another half in December or not.
