Avocados are an incredible fat source. They are loaded with nutrients such as potassium, A, E, K, C, several B vitamins, folate, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, phosphorous and fiber! Since it IS a great fat source, it allows the body to absorb the additional vitamins and minerals in your meal. The oleic acid contained in avocados has been associated with reduced inflammation and shown to have beneficial effects on genes linked to cancer! My favorite way to eat avocados are on toasted Ezekiel bread or rice cakes with pepper and sea salt. I eat between half to a full large avocado a day (sometimes more ) and one of my favorite meals is breakfast! I typically always have some fruit and another source of protein besides turkey bacon or eggs such as cottage cheese or green yogurt with added collagen peptides! The Greek yogurt and cottage cheese contain cultures great for your gut and the collagen peptides also improve gut function! Happy gut= happy brain 🧠/ immunity!
