We recently purchased “Pink Ribbon” surgical masks commemorating all of our teammates and loved ones who have experienced any form of cancer. This is our way of supporting each other and recognizing that the fight for a cure continues!

We are raising awareness of breast cancer risks, the value of screening and early detection, and treatment options available to women and men who are diagnosed with one of the many forms of breast cancer all throughout October.

I have been struggling with food and weight all my life. Call it an #eatingdisorder or not, but things like overeating, eating like sh**, overrestricting or not wanting to eat at all have been following me ever since. I was always „the big girl“ and bullied to death I had to go through horrifying years of school. There were times in which I would eat so much I thought I was going to burst and couldn’t stop until everything was gone. Or fall asleep during the third pint of ice cream. At times I didn’t care and then there were times where I would, guilt-ridden, go to the gym and do hours of cardio to make up for all the calories. Times I decided to eat under 500 calories the next day to punish myself. Times I thought about making myself throw up, which gladly never worked out. And then it’s not about getting healthy or losing a little weight anymore. This is an disorder and as I unfortunately had to experience: not a lot of people know about it or understand it. I don’t blame them. Sometimes I still envy people who have a healthy relationship with food or don’t put any focus on it throughout their day, while I have to spend hours planning ahead. >BUT(T)!
You can trust me when I say there is hope. A way out. •eat enough food/calories during the day
•nourish your body (and mind) with the right food. With the right amount of nutrients you won’t need to binge BYE BYE CRAVINGS
•the 80/20 rule still allows you to eat treats! Make sure you satisfy yourself nutritiously THEN allow yourself to have that piece of cake
•don’t use food as a punishment or reward
•be mindful and watch your hunger cues
•never get TOO hungry (aka not eating for a long time). Rather have a little snack every couple hours
•prepare food so you have something on the go without being tempted or having to buy something unhealthy
•sometimes it’s better to have that cookie 🍪 instead of trying the healthier version which won’t work and you find yourself binging on ALL THE COOKIES
•buy pre-packaged food!
•keep trigger foods out of the house
