All this food looks good enough to eat, or does it? A great thing about Japan is that you can walk into almost any food place and point at a display dish of food or a picture of it and have a good idea of what you're getting without having to speak the language. Have you ever looked at this fake food close up? Some are cheap and look fake but some are magnificent works of art. There is a whole street on Tokyo devoted to anything and everything you would need in your restaurant. From kitchen appliances, furniture, decorations, cuttlery, crockery and you guessed it, fake food. Most of the stores won't let you take pictures, but others like this, one not only let you take pictures but they demonstrate how they are made. I found this fascinating and beautiful. Talk about work a of art! It makes me hungry just thinking about it!
