I don’t have many pictures of myself that aren’t taken in the selfie style, but last night in all the cattle chaos Miss Iscel snuck in a got my phone and took this picture....along with a lot of other random pics And you know what I love this picture.
Those of you who know me or have followed me for a while now know I’m not a sideline kind of person. I like to be a part of what’s going on. I like to get my hands dirty. When Caleb and I got married (10 years this next September) he knew I wanted to be part of EVERYTHING on the farm. Last night. That involved not only lending my bathrooms to 2 baby calves, but also taking an active roll in getting them warm and dried off and helping Caleb put them back with their mothers.
Farming and ranching can be romanticized in pictures sometimes, but never be doubt the hard work that goes into it. There are a lot of stressful, exhausting, messy days like yesterday. Where all you want to do is crawl into bed and sleep for days. But that’s not how life is, so we work hard to get our jobs done and get up the next day to do it again! . .
