♂️POSTURE-RELATED PAIN ♀️
Posture is somewhat a ‘go-to’ contributing factor when it comes to neck, shoulder and back pain. However, research has recently shown that there is little evidence that directly correlates ‘poor’ posture to resulting pain.
Despite this, anecdotally, posture seems to be a major contributing factor particularly to those who work a sedentary job, which requires prolonged positioning and/or sustained postures.
In our latest PHYSIO-FIT PODCAST, Chris from @cbphysiotherapy and I discuss the following points:
is there such thing as ‘poor’ posture?
is maintaining a ‘good’ posture sustainable?
what are the main things to consider in relation to posture?
easy and ready to use cues to improve your posture straight away.
effective exercises to improve our posture.
other effective strategies at relieving ‘posture-related’ pain.
