Although the lowest land on earth is named the Dead Sea, it isn’t actually completely dead. Remarkably, there are actually bacteria that thrive in the salination of the Dead Sea (322.6 gm salt/litre of water)! This limited variety of micro-organisms (halophylic) have developed complex mechanisms to adjust to the hostile environment.
This is just one impressive feat of a single super-organism part of the enormous, worldwide, interacting, loose network of bacteria. There are many more astonishing things that large varieties of bacteria can accomplish.
So before you go to medical battle with bacteria (sanitisation, antibiotics, man-made probiotics, etc.), please consider a more symbiotic relationship with these genetically intelligent and powerfully strong microbes. Do the world a favour and treat bacteria like your family. Perhaps get a little closer with them and embrace them all over your body, inside and out.
