Behind me you see some houses on stilts above the sea. There is a reason for that to do so. People who live in those houses are originally from the philippines. They are called: Bajay people. They migrated but never became official inhabitants of Malsysia. Therefore they can't set foot on Malaysian shore their whole lifes. (they might do but that would be a lot of risk for them) .
Living without running water, electricity and no govermental help.
They do trading with other Bajau community's and small islands nearby to make a living. Kids don't have state education but they are teached to do sea diving, making boats and building those charismatic houses. .
Sailing by the community's, you see people drying fish on their house, fishing, stiring a bowl of rice or just doing a powernap. So calm and sereen! From what I've heard, they wouldn't like to have any difference 😍 I'm glad I was able to catch a glimp of their lifestyle!
