I can remember like yesterday the day that I received the Holy Spirit. I was on fire! God had begun to reveal some of the things that I was called to do and I was even more on fire. My mind was blown. I was ready to go, ready to fulfill those things like that day but the more that I’ve experienced, the more encounters that I’ve had, the more of the word that I’ve been able to retain and the more that He reveals myself to me, I understand that Salvation is a process. Being called and chosen is a process that is perfected over time. Pace yourself. Salvation isn’t the kind of race that you have to be the first to the finish line to win!

Waiting for those abs to come out of the hiding like...
Week 2 went pretty great. The weather here in Amsterdam was amazing, so during the weekend I went to the seaside, had a picnic at the park and a bbq with friends. That meant that I had to miss a few flexibility sessions and that I didn’t follow or count my macros for one day (and I totally used the opportunity to enjoy ice cream, cheese, ribs, wine and loads of fruit 🍉🍔 🧀🍨🍷) No regrets, my flexible diet and my training have to adapt to my lifestyle, not the other way around! ☺️ In terms of my eating plan - I just marked that day as blank and didn’t give myself too much headache about it, in terms of my training - I’ll just work out a few times more on week 3 🤙 Progress is not linear

In the pyramid of nutrition, calories are king. Weight loss is simply calories in vs. calories out. You need to be eating less than you are burning each day.

The next most important is macronutrients. Macros=a particular amount of protein carbs and fat. If you were to put those three in order of importance, protein would be number ☝🏼. If you’re struggling to hit all 3 macros, take a step back and focus on hitting your protein and not going over your calories.
.
Micronutrients are of the next importance. If you’re eating good, wholesome foods (fruits and veggies) hitting your micros shouldn’t be a problem. If it is, work on getting in more servings of fruit and veggies. 🍎🍇🥦🥕
.
A lot of people get too hung up on what comes next. Meal timing/ frequency and supplements are way further down the line for those who have been tracking macros for a long time and have it down.
.
If you’re new to macros, concentrate on calories, macros and micros before anything else 👍🏼 If you’re not following these three, supplements and meal timing won’t get you anywhere. Keep it simple for success! 🙌🏼

It is weird because we do not look alike nor in have the same personality - but it is crazy how we get each other !
When we are together, it is not uncommon that we end each other’s sentences and that we think about the same thing if we are together.
We have been compared a lot and it could have set us up to compete against each other - but thankful, we never fell in that trap.
Remember that whether it is with your family or friends, life is NOT a competition - and being different does not mean being better or worst 💫

Pre-workout matcha tea latte recipe for more energy and focus... 🌿1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
🌿1 tsp culinary grade matcha tea powder
🌿1/4 cup water
🌿1 tsp of raw honey

Heat milk to steaming, but not boiling, in a small sauce pan.

Pour hot milk into your favorite mug and stir in the honey.

Pour water into a small jar or mixing bottle, add tea powder and shake vigorously until blended.

Pour tea and water mix into the hot milk, stir and enjoy! 🌷
