Looking at the last decade we can’t absolutely deny how Balmain has increased its gains, its customers but most of all its fame.
As a matter of fact the brand is followed on social medias by over 9 million people and its Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing, is already a famous web star.
Through the last years a lot of praised actors and singers became loyal customers of the brand. We can mention for example Beyoncé, Rihanna or Jennifer Lopez.
This fact contributed to put the brand in the spotlight and to guarantee itself a copious investment to make a super business.
Thanks to this successful period the house decided to show his first Haute Couture collection after 16 years of absence by the schedule of couture presentations.
Rousteing put a lot of his egocentric personality in creating the garments, playing with geometric forms and extra decorations that made look the final result sophisticated and very imaginative.
The models looked like aliens with their white makeup and pearl hair that let us get carried in another dimension.
The colours are soft and they give the idea of purity and whiteness but at the same time they are in contrast with the asymmetrical lines and the research of something different.
We can see the true high fashion because the whole collection gives us like a taste of heaven and that was the purpose: give to the public something that makes it feel like they’re elevating towards a high new world.
