6. I must admit Bangkok was very much a gourmet destination for us :). We had 3 exceptional dining experiences booked and all three didn't disappoint. So here are some tips for foodies heading to Bangkok.
Absolutely top was DiD - Dining in the Dark. The concept of eating in absolute darkness is not unique. There are such restaurants all around the world. However, the challenge is to make this rather unusual experience delightfully outstanding. DiD Bangkok is maybe one of the best in the world in this category. After 1.5 hour dining in the dark you re-enter back to the light astonished, dazzled, overwhelmed. It was truly an astounding experience! •
Sky Bar and Sirocco - the world's highest open-air restaurant - was also a real highlight of the tour. Great food, super amazing views and atmosphere. It looked like a rather "romantic" venue, but a company of 3 moms was fitting in also quite well :))). •
And the third - restaurant Nahm (on the picture). It is listed in the the world's 50 best restaurants rating - well, this is how I found it :). Tasty Thai cuisine, exquisite atmosphere, excellent service - one Michelin star was defended! But definitely not a place in the world's best 50 :)). .
