Trying to get these chicken wings to grow. Its a pain in the arse when the equipment you want isnt available but you adapt and make it work. This is 15kg barbell which was lighter than i normally lift so i rocked it for 15reps. As long as i get the pump, im working 💪🏽

Plate reverse curl. An auxiliary arm exercise that targets your brachioradialis, not your biceps brachii. Your brachialis and biceps brachii act as synergists.

Instructions

Hold a plate using a pronated (overhand) grip, with your hands at the 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions. Wrists should be straight, unlike in the image. Keeping your body still and your elbows by your sides, curl the plate up toward your shoulders. Lower the plate to the starting position. Repeat. Inhale as you lower the plate; exhale as you curl it.

Note

If the plate lacks handgrips through which you can put your fingers, you will of course have to squeeze the plate to ensure an adequate grip. In this case, if the plate is sufficiently heavy, multiple key gripping muscles in your forearms and hands can also be counted as synergists. This exercise can therefore be good for improving your grip. 👍

Type: Isolation pull

Target muscle: Brachialis

Synergists: Biceps Brachii (especially the long or outer head) and Brachioradialis

Notes

Adjust the seat to ensure that your upper arms, from armpits to elbows, lie flat on the padded surface of the preacher bench.

Keep your elbows in line with your shoulders.

Keep your body still. Only your forearms should move.

Since the short (inner) head of your biceps brachii enters into active insufficiency (i.e. develops slack) at the top of the curl, the long (outer) head of your biceps brachii is activated more than is the short head.

If you dont want to curl, you can try underhand chinups/rows, single arm pulling work, zercher holds/squats/deadlifts and reverse grip pressing. You can get a full body workout while emphasizing the biceps 💪😎 #bodybuilder

Close-Grip EZ Bar Curls 💪
▪️I find that i get a better contraction in the bicep if i bend a little forward since the angle created increases the tension in the muscle.
▪️Use a weight which you can control and keep your back straight, going through full range of motion.
▪️This exercise is great for the bicep's long head which forms the bicep peak.
