• It’s Friday yet again, and that means another friendly barista face for our coffee lovers!
Meet Tara! (pronounced TARE-UH)—
She came from Wilmington, N.C. to pursue a degree in women’s and gender studies at UNC. Besides rocking a pixie cut on a daily basis, she’s into studying yoga & reading speculative fiction & essay collections beside her basil and lavender plants, Bert and Lernie. •
Her favorite natural phenomenon? Any thunderstorm or hurricane that doesn’t bite. •
Fave drink to make? She’s currently mastering her triple-tulip on our 1:1 (known commonly as a cortado). Fave to sip? Her summer favorite is our Toddy cold brew with oat milk. Mmmm. •
She likes the color green and would shape-shift if she could— all while jamming Open Mike Eagle’s album, Hella Personal Film Festival, of course.
What advice would she give to her 12-year-old self? “Cut your hair off, ditch the meanies. Understand your needs and desires before worrying about anyone else’s!”
Any parting words, Tara?
“Lids are located at the back of the shop in the silver tins.”
