Wow so serious! 🙃
Yesterday was an emotionally challenging day. Lack of sleep mixed with a very trying toddler had me slumped and in bed by 8.
Today is a fresh day mixed with sleep, hugs and a decent workout!
5 weeks in and I'm feeling proud that I'm still going at it. There was a time when I didn't even finish a week of workouts and went back to old habits.
This is a progress picture ... I'm excited to see the transformation at 12 weeks.. 24weeks even 12months from now!

I could’ve thought of 826482 reasons why I didn’t want to workout today. BUT, I read through a bunch of your comments and encouraging words on my progress photo yesterday and I remembered why I started: to be the strongest, focused, and energized version of myself. AND I want to be an inspiration to those of you who were like me and couldn’t get started. Week 5 💦

Last week I wanted to give up. I used the smoke and heat as an excuse to eat wayy too much ice cream. I gave into my cravings and hid on my couch while my workout gear tried to find me.
Weightloss and overall physical health is a mental battle just as much as it is about diet and exercise.
Knowing that I did 22 burpees tonight means I am getting stronger every single week. There was a time doing 2 burpees had me exhausted.
So hello week 5... I'm here to stay 💪

BBG Week 5 // Sunday // LISS * 2
Who else does cleaning and laundry on Sunday? ✋ Woke up at 730 this morning and thought today is Monday...😓 Since I am already up, I did all my Sunday cleaning and laundry. Then went out for a quick swim - 1500M free style. In the evening, I went out for a 45 mins walk along the lake. It has been 2 weeks since I last went out for evening walk. How could I missed it. Was pumped to finish #bbgweek5 tonight but instead, my back decided to spaz out and I can’t straighten my legs 🙄 so instead, I popped some Tylenol and laid up with this guy. If I feel better tonight, I’ll do it but I’m not going to push myself and risk (another) big back injury. I’m happy to take a rest day and finish tomorrow!

Today's workout was a little bit different than usual. Little Alice and I were both tired and, to be frank, not in the mood to move around at all. But we kept on motivating each other and counting down all the exercises till we managed to do all the arms & abs circuits. I am so unbelievably proud of her for not stepping down and keeping up through the whole workout. The funny part is that she always tells me that she wouldn't be able to do it all without my help, but to be honest, she is the one inspiring me everytime to get better and keep on going. I love this girl so much! ❤️

Also, Ron joined us again today. I think this will be out weekly ritual now, haha! 😻

BBG Week 5 // Thursday // LISS
30mins walk-run interval on the treadmill - 5 mins walking at 6.5kmph and 5 mins running at 9 kmph. This week is passing so fast. I was so busy at work and settling in my apartment. Lately I don't have much time (nor energy tbh) for my LISS sessions because of all the work we have to do with the hotel. Usually we're spending our lunch time running around and cleaning up the breakfast buffet as well as cleaning the guest rooms in the other house. 🏡
And today my FitBitwatch detected another 2 hours 44 minutes of workout while I was actually just working and cleaning. So, I was wondering if I just can write that down as my Cardio or should I try to make time yet for another LISS exercise? What do you think? 🤔

GET YOUR SWEAT ON // if I’m honest, I thought twice about posting this photo....but this is me, post workout... and a super sweaty one at that! This is me before I readjusted my pants to cover the extra fluff around my belly from less than consistent workouts and less than perfect eating. This is me with boob sweat and sweat dripping down my face. But this is also me after a killer, sweaty, much needed leg workout. This is me getting workouts in when I can and not giving up even though I’ve been busy at work and less motivated than at the begging of my fitness journey. This is me showing up and doing what I can even if it means I ended a few circuits 30 seconds early and switched up a few of the exercises cause I couldn’t do any more jumping. This is me. And I got it done. 👊🏻

This week’s been harder to stay on top of my workouts with my man’s travel. Usually I work out in the AM before work which gives me some quiet time to sweat in peace. It's arms and abs day. I really really don't want to go to the gym today. My muscles are sore, and I am so tired. But I know I am just being lazy. So I grab my gym bag and get to the gym. It wasn't the best workout ever, but I finished it. BTW, the inclined push ups are 👿. My arms were very shaky after the workout. In terms of eating, today I had a lottttt of snacks, esp when I feel tired and bored. I know diet is the part that I really need to put some efforts on, but sometimes I just don't have that self control. Any tips on not to snack when bored or tired?

Had a long day yesterday. Had a meeting in the afternoon that ended late. Dear hubs had to work from home to take care of the Li’l one because she has to be quarantined at home for one whole week. By the time I brought home dinner and finished feeding the Li’l one her dinner ( she didn’t want to eat when daddy fed her😭) and sat down for my dinner, it was almost 10. After putting her to bed, I woke up at 1 to do some work till 3.30am, because it’s going to be hard to work in the day. Not quite sure how I’m gonna get my LISS done, so any suggestions/ideas are greatly welcome! 😊

Since I didn’t workout my body yesterday, I figured I’ll workout my mind instead. Time to set August goals! 7 days down, 24 more to make August count!
1. Do all my BBG workouts!
2. Cut sugar, cut processed food.
3. Kill the ANTs! (Automatic Negative Thought, you know we all have them, but they don’t deserve a single second of our time! 👊)
4.Lift up as many ladies as I can along the way! 🙌

Work pants felt a little looser today! Woottt 😳 straight out of the wash too, when they’re normally all tight and you do all kinds of sumo squats to stretch them out (you know what I’m talking about ladies!). Haven’t weighed myself and don’t plan on it ! Feel stronger and clothes fitting better is all I’m going by.

#throwback to last night. #bbgweek5 #legsandcardio done! Yesterday was a tough day. Li’l one had high fever on and off since Sun morning and I felt like I was coming down with something too. Aching bod, heavy head, stuffy nose. Then in the afternoon, when changing bub’s diapers, I noticed red spots on her bum. I checked her mouth and saw an ulcer, started noticing her hands and feet, little red spots too. Brought her to the PD and confirmed that she has HFMD. Saw that the hard palette of her mouth had lots of tiny white ulcers. No wonder she was cranky, wailing at the smallest things. Seeing her wail just broke my ❤️. By 7pm, I just wanted to lie on bed and sleep. A part of me said I really don’t feel like working out today. Another part said, you really should boost your immune system by working out. Baby’s gonna benefit from the milk you’ll be giving her and so, guess which thought won. At 7.35pm, when hubs got home from work and baby is in bed, I got on the mat. Li’l one woke up at the last set. I tried to finish the workout, after all it’s just 7mins right? Can’t. Just couldn’t bear hearing baby’s non-stop wailing because even her daddy couldn’t calm her down. Wiped off as much sweat as I can and just showered as fast as possible. She calmed down in my arms. 42secs to completion. Put it on tab. Will pay back next round, but you know what, I did feel better after working out which is a 100% win. With back to back vacations my daily routine took a backseat.🌺 ⛰️


I was still staying active hiking everyday and carrying a 30 pound kid pack all over the mountain 😅😅 but I was missing my daily routine.


After a few days I realized that it is not the end of life to fall behind or take a break as long as it’s just that, a break. It’s not the end.


We all need a break, rest, and self care!!

BBG Week 5 // Monday // LISS + Legs & Cardio
Hello week 5. I can definitely feel the intensity of the workout ramped up this week, let along the additional LISS section. Starting my week 5 with a 30 mins 'jog' on the elliptical, and followed by the Legs and Cardio workout. I know it is not recommended to do LISS and resistance training back to back, I'll try to plan it better tmr. Oh forgot to mention I also did a 30 mins walk back home. The most easiest way to make food. Fish and chips but baked, with vinegar poured over the chips. I don’t drizzle☺️ l couldn’t figure out what I wanted to eat and my body was tired to cook. I remembered there being frozen fish fingers and chips in the freezer so went with that the easy option and l thought il just eat that for lunch. I just dumped it all on the plate in a hurry because I was too hungry! And in matter of moments devoured them #happysunday

I just couldn’t resist , I had to….💪🏻 so another session and a good go at the challenge I had my heart, eyes and mind set on. #investinginmyhealth and making it my priority is huge for me and it does mean a lot to me when I’m able to find the strength and motivation to carry out something so challenging as what I’m doing now and then to finish it as well. At the same time l have this will power, that’s filled with excitement and for I feel for me that l can find something to look forward to even though its challenging and I wind up tired because l know I’m achieving something, so this makes me very happy. The positivity flows throughout till from the beginning and to end. When all done, I’m still the same as when l started. I owe this to the kind of person I am and that is having determination all down! I now want to say, here’s to another day just like this one, god willing it happens ! After the challenge I’m tired and thankful 🙌🏻💦

Ive going through the programme since getting this app and Ive been looking forward to all the individual exercises, ever since. There are more than some that I couldn’t wait to try out.I’ve just completed one of those challenges. I couldn’t get this one out of my head! since noticing it, whilst scrolling down the list of the challenges. I was watching orange is the new black and catching up on the series episodes when not even half way through the series I stopped and started on this. To be honest I am so pleased that I completed it and all throughout the reps, l was constantly motivated to carry on till the end and felt positive! throughout it all. This has become my favourite to have for lunch. Its just nice and simple. Every time I make couscous, l love having it with only plain Greek yoghurt dolloped on top and it tastes delicious which always leaves me feeling happy and in content. What’s important for me is getting full, from my foods. I don’t understand portion size/control when eating something healthy. This kind of way is also a really nice way to have for a lazy lunch in my home on a weekend, for me and one of the best ways to get nutrition and plain yoghurt in my system because I won’t on urs own! As I’m sitting here typing for this post, I’m having spoons full of couscous. Yep! I use a tbl spoon and not a fork 🍴 One of the other ways l love plain yoghurt is (👉🏻) to have also as a Snack time and maybe even for dessert. In the next picture shows, something I “invented through experimenting”, is maple syrup, mini flapjack bites with Greek yoghurt and spicy orang choc shot. Another way of having yoghurt is as a dessert with the choc shots only!
I enjoy experimenting, with ingredients, so today I’m doing that with what I have in the kitchen and came up with my own healthy version recipe for flap jack. Now I’m done eating and now ready to post this!

I am the most forgetful person of my things in my entire family and then the clumsiest #silverlining
At home I was once band from walking up the staircase because usually I would fall from them coming down, almost everyday that it got to much for my mum. So I was basically band from using them, I would of cried but I actually had fun and I never did cry walking away, just laughed #laughablemoments ! I mean I could either cry or laugh, even with the bruises but I chose to laugh!
I’ve lost my bank card 🤦🏻‍♀️ l had something’s planned but now I have to ditch them and cancel. I’m not even upset. I’m way past that because I am the most forgetful member of the entire family to lose my property 🤦🏻‍♀️and I’ve got used to it now 💁🏻‍♀️Happy Saturday 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Lunch with very good nutritional value 👍🏻 wasn’t in the mood to make anything whilst standing in the kitchen and this won’t take long to cook. So I put this all together and decided to have it for lunch. I wasn’t going to have lunch but also didn’t want to skip any more meals.
