Years ago, the comedian Jerry Seinfeld explained his method for success: every January, he would hang a large calendar on his wall and for every day he wrote new material, he would draw a big red "X" over that day. Drawing the Xs became fun and rewarding, so he kept doing it. Eventually, created a long chain of red Xs. The idea was to never break that chain. Not only does this approach get me to publish a photo everyday, it also motivates me to actively and routinely push myself. This strategy works for anyone working towards a goal: writing, designing, reading, exercising, eating healthy--continue building that beautiful string of big, red Xs!
