Some days I start a workout, and I get to the point where I’m ready to give up. -“I’ve pushed myself hard enough.” -“I’m really exhausted today.” -“This isn’t what I want to be doing right now.” Some days I let that weakness win. I give up. But later I ask myself why. Those moments for weakness are where we get stronger - both mentally and physically. We push our bodies further, to help build muscle. We prove to ourselves that our mind will give up long before our body does.
In those moments of weakness, pick that dumbbell back up, re-start that treadmill, or get back to whatever it is that you were doing, and remember why you started. And remember #fitnesstakespatience. 💕

Oh how I love apples in the fall, and they make the perfect healthy dessert for when I’m craving something sweet😊🍎 We picked these jonagold apples at @cartermountain in Charlottesville a few weeks ago and they needed to be eaten soon, so I made these baked apples for my girlfriends last night (w/homemade pumpkin gnocchi—which was AMAZING btw🙃) and I just re-heated some tonight. This recipe is like a crisp, but I mix all the ingredients together and then bake, stirring occasionally while it cooks. .

Baked Cinnamon Apples🍏
• 6 apples peeled & sliced thin.
• 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
• 2 drops @younglivingeo cinnamon bark oil.
• 1/4 c. chopped pecans.
• 1/3 c. #glutenfree oats.
• 1 tbsp ghee.
Mix all ingredients together and add to greased baking dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 x 35 mins stirring at least twice. Enjoy!

😤Working hard but NOT getting results at the GYM?❗THREE TIPS❗ •

1. Follow a plan- If you workout whenever you “feel like it” (a.k.a. No consistency) or have no plan - you just go to the gym and “go with the flow” with no goal or plan in mind, it’s time to get organized. Decide what you want to achieve (lose fat? Build muscle? Increase stamina? Become stronger?) and get on a plan to achieve your results.💪🏼 •


2.Take a rest day- Overtraining can put too much stress on your body and you may see a decrease in performance in your results and the chance of injuries increase.😴 •

3. NUTRITION IS KING- You may not be eating enough. Surprisingly, a lot of people who are already in a fitness journey are not protein deficient...but NUTRIENT deficient. Your mom was right- make sure you are also eating your fruits and vegetables. They will help you with natural energy and you will become more “regular” which can result in weight loss.🍴
