Do you ever feel like you’re just losing at this thing called life?
No, that’s just me. Okay well let me explain why when I feel like I’m losing at life I’m actually winning!
Ever wake up feeling like...NO, not today
Don’t wanna get up
Don’t wanna shower
Don’t wanna get ready
Don’t wanna go to work
Don’t wanna mom today
Just wanna nothing today, but it’s a workday, the alarm is going off for the third go round of the snooze button.
Stretch, get out of bed, stumble to the coffee pot, brew my coffee. Time to jump in the shower, then grab the coffee, drink it during my morning facial routine.
Get the work attire on, check the backpack, pack the lunch, brew the second cup of coffee to go.
Then drive to work which for me is about 20 minutes. Every day before work I sit in my car read my daily devotional and let it sink in.
Time to work!
At work I can’t help but think...
What do I gotta get done after work?
After work I have to drive home, stop at the bank, clean up, figure out what I’m making for dinner. Don’t forget to pick up the grandbaby from daycare.
Then I remember no pick up today grandbaby is not feeling well.
More thinking, what do I have at home that can help said baby get better. I’ve got this!
Moms, you feel me?
Kids come home, greet the kids. Engage in conversation with these teenagers of mine. Ask them what they want for dinner when in reality no one is going to agree and what I make probably isn’t any of their choices. But, I will make the dinner.
It’s a never ending battle with the life we’ve been given, doing the things that make us oh so happy and tired with and for the people we love the most but sometimes need time away from.
