Super emotional workout today because I was pushed way way past my limits of what I thought I could do ❤. Today I deadlifted 220 lbs for 10 sets of 3. This is a weight just over a year ago was my max. Today I did 30 reps of it.
I also did deficit deadlifts 3 sets of 8 at 175.
I'm physically exhausted and sore beyond anything because this is a heavy weight high volume week and i had no idea how I was going to complete all of those deadlifts. I started cramping up immediately after my sets of 220, but thankfully I always carry a pedialyte drink with me which took care of the cramping 💚
There were tears, lots of swearing, but I completed every last rep. For many powerlifters, this is probably easy. Not so much for me, but when I told my coach I would do anything to get better, anything to be able to pull that 303 deadlift in 8 weeks, I meant it. ❤ It's awesome to have someone that believes in you enough to give you the really tough programming. ❤
