Super emotional workout today because I was pushed way way past my limits of what I thought I could do ❤. Today I deadlifted 220 lbs for 10 sets of 3. This is a weight just over a year ago was my max. Today I did 30 reps of it.
I also did deficit deadlifts 3 sets of 8 at 175.
I'm physically exhausted and sore beyond anything because this is a heavy weight high volume week and i had no idea how I was going to complete all of those deadlifts. I started cramping up immediately after my sets of 220, but thankfully I always carry a pedialyte drink with me which took care of the cramping 💚
There were tears, lots of swearing, but I completed every last rep. For many powerlifters, this is probably easy. Not so much for me, but when I told my coach I would do anything to get better, anything to be able to pull that 303 deadlift in 8 weeks, I meant it. ❤ It's awesome to have someone that believes in you enough to give you the really tough programming. ❤

#tbt to February to my best lifts of last prep before I got sick 🙄 380 squat @RPE7-7.5, 285 bench @RPE6.5, and 530x2 deadlift @RPE7-8. 🤘HARDCORE HUMILITY🤘Like many of you out there I have a HUGE love/hate relationship with squats. I rarely look forward to them. My hips always take forever to warm up and my knees have their days when they stop me from going heavy. The time away from heavy squats has done me some good and even though this was still a low percentage I felt smooth and reinvigorated to add more and more weight. Baby steps back. As far as that barbell complex, my son loves to say “Turtle slooooow.” That’s exactly how I feel about those cleans🤣🤣 Baby steps for speed as well I guess🤷‍♂️ The quest back to strong continues...💪💀🤘

Good 2nd lift. Missed my last rep on Incline. Got 180lbs for 4 instead of 5 so I’ll stick there. But Squat and Deadlifts were easy.
