It's also called as Shore Lark in Europe. Mostly found in northern hemisphere in colder regions. This little bird migrate to higher north to breed. A sUmmer male can be identified easily by the horn like feathers on the head.

I had to crawl on my belly in the wet sand to get close to these little buggers, but it was all worth it! The best thing? They didn't even mind my presence!
It was my first time seeing Sanderlings in breeding plumage
