Morning breakfast with my family, precious time together.

“S is for Silence”

Raise your hand if the first thing you do in the morning when you get up is get moving. Yeah, me too, gotta wake myself up, right? Or how about those that wake up and think of the million bajillion things that need to get done, and that only makes our mood more terrible? Yep, been there done that too. “Silence is one of the best ways to immediately reduce stress, while increasing your self-awareness and gaining the clarity that will allow you to maintain your focus on your goals, priorities, and what’s most important for you life, each and every day.”
But wait, how in the heck do I sit in silence while I have all these thoughts that are bouncing around? How long do I sit in silence? I CAN’T DO THIS!!! Patience, that is how. I have thought about meditating and making it a habit (several times in my life) but never actually grasped on to it because my mind was so filled with thoughts that I was discouraged after one sitting, and didn’t try again. The author of this book lists several ways to sit in silence; you can choose one way to start and then do them all if you’d like, but the key is to focus on your intentions for the day. 🌟Meditation

🌟Reflection
🌟Deep breathing
🌟Gratitude

One thing that for my own mental health I need to be aware of, is allowing myself time to take time for myself and also knowing when to push past the mental block and get stuff done.
As I have just started my final two subjects for my masters in medical ultrasound, I have had to push past the “I’m not in the mood to study” mind frame, and go into the study away from all distractions. Put on my lectures and watch them, take notes, compile these notes into word documents and then do some more reading. I found after about 20-30mins my mindset has changed and I am in the zone.
There are many things in life that we would rather just not think about, do or even acknowledge. However, this is not going to help us in our journey to self discovering, self improving/development, studies and to be honest life itself. We need to push ourselves sometimes into doing the harder things because the rewards are always greater and much more self fulfilling. You end up having more energy and determination because you have that sense of accomplishment or clarity with whatever your endeavours are.
Try my 20-30min rule. If you have something that needs to be done or you’ve been wanting to do but putting off, just get started. Say to yourself I’ll just do 20mins of (insert what you want to do here) and then go do it. You will most likely find by the 20min mark your in your groove and you just keep going. And afterwards you just feel good for getting it done (or part of it) and you are more inclined to do more the next day or whenever you can next.

It's all about attaining the Good life. You need to be balanced in all the pillars of good life - Health, Wealth, Love, and Happiness.

Getting old is one thing we can't debate on that. But we need to focus on having good health, good wealth, good love, and hapiness the byproduct which comes with it.
People chasing after money - the entrepreneurs or the regular salaryslaves, at young age focus on making wealth and eating junk, losing their health, building fat and when they get old they use the same money over getting their health back. It's a circular logic.

morning overnight oats 😍 pro tip: add chia and flax seeds to your rolled oats to make the texture 💯! I’m feeling motivated this week to get back to a routine after the last two were all over the place. let’s do this monday 👊🏻. oatmeal deets 👉🏻 add 1/3 c @bobsredmill rolled oats, 1 tsp chia seeds, 1 tsp flax seeds, several dashes of cinnamon and 1/2 c unsweetened almond milk into a jar the night before. dump into a bowl in the morning and top with your faves! mine: bloobs & @juliesreal grain free granola 💕

We love an early morning spin class.
Spinning is a good way of
•burning calories •building and toning your leg muscles as well as your core muscles
•and (believe it or not) a good way of relieving stress!
Spinning / group cycling is a low impact class, meaning there is less pressure on your joints and knees (instead of running or high impact classes) meaning it’s a class that anyone can take part in, and work to your own pace/tempo!

Honestly the left photo makes me feel so sad. Traveling is a huge passion of mine & Greg’s. We went to Costa Rica and it was STUNNING. I wish I could say that I was running around, experiencing everything I possibly could 😞But my physical & mental health was at an all time low. I remember napping all the time, feeling foggy and drowsy. I didn’t have the energy or stamina to do any of the things we wanted to do. Honestly, it wasn’t even really about how I looked...it was about how I felt. I completely missed out on everything around me.

I am a little behind on everything in life right now and that would include starting my #30ForTheKids. 1st Phorm has started another 30 for the kids to help orphan children in Haiti. They don't have the food, water, and resources that you and I have. To help with this, we are trying to raise $50,000 to help give 20 children food and water for a year.
