Moses prophesied for his people, a king, Yeshua = Jesus Christ.
Jesus of Nazareth was the Prophet whose name Moses foretold. After the Israelites had been freed from bondage in Egypt and spent 40 years in the wilderness, they prepared for entry into the Promised Land.God inspired Moses, the experi- ences His summary can be found in Deuteronomy 5.
One should imagine the challenge that lay before the Israelites. They should take a land that they did not know, and their companions since the time of their deliverance - Moses - should no longer be there. To encourage the Israelites, God assured them, that he would guide and protect them (Deuteronomy 31: 8).He also assured Moses successor Joshua of his support: "As I have been with Moses, I will also be with you."- Numbers 27: 18- 20, Joshua 1,5). God also promised Israel the presence of a prophet like Moses: "A prophet like me will the Lord your God raise you out of you and out of your brethren, to whom you ought to obey ... I will give them a prophet like you[Moses] be awakened from their brethren, and give my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. "(Deuteronomy 18: 15,18). Jesus 'compatriots sometimes took him for this promised prophet (John 6:14; 7:40).After Jesus' resurrection, Peter and Stephen stated that Jesus was indeed the prophet whose appearance Moses had prophesied (Acts 3:20).23, 7, 37).
Jesus does NOT change the words of Moses!
45 You shall not think that I will sue you before the Father; it is one who sues you: Moses, whom you hope for. 46 If you believed Moses, you also believed me; because he wrote of me. 47 But if you do not believe his scriptures, how will you believe my words? (John 5: 45-47) #Amen
