On July 14th, my best friend married her husband with a morning ceremony at Lake Gregory amidst gorgeous pine trees (pictured in the post before this one). The reception was around the other side of the lake overlooking a large expanse of the water. It was perfect and it was them, captured in setting and feel.
Our friend, Julie, (one of my best friends since middle school) also attended the wedding. After a beautiful morning and all the festivities, we hugged the ever-dear newly married couple goodbye and saw them off on the brightly sunny mountain roads. And then we took off as well.
The drive through the mountains that Julie and I took was something I’ll never forget. I’d never seen mountain towns like these before and to be honest, they were everything my heart didn’t know how to ask for. Being from Missouri, we do have adorable little towns, and lakes as well, but the mystic aspect of coming upon nestled towns built at the staggering elevation of 9,000+ ft, was a different kind of beautiful. When Julie and I pulled up to @noon_collection_’s Noon Lodge, it was exactly what I dreamed it would be. No square inch of this place was not absolutely picturesque. After eating dinner in the downtown of Big Bear, we came back to this view, grabbed sweaters and talked by the fire. A dream, a dream.
