I've become pretty particular about my coffee, and this one makes the cut for sure! Coffee can make me feel jittery, but with @foursigmatic #mushroomcoffee I feel more grounded and focused.👍

There's a bit of a culture obsession with coffee, but it's important to recognize how coffee makes you feel and whether or not you're using it as a crutch. Coffee does not, "give you energy" - it forces your body to temporarily make it but it has a "rob peter to pay paul" effect on your body that catches up with you eventually and can affect your adrenals and have other health affects. So, drink responsibly! ☕️

Sleeping in. Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with it? In the last few years I’ve really come to accept the fact that my circadian rhythm is that of a night owl. I used to try and force myself to be an early morning person because I envied them...they seemed to have so much pep in the morning and got so much done before I even rolled out of bed. College roommates gave me a hard time about it and I always felt the guilt and shame of sleeping in. I felt the guilt of being “lazy” and as my friend endearingly labeled me, a sloth 😂 But in retrospect, I come from a long line of sleeper-inners. My mom, my sister and even my dad...I don’t dare call them before 9am. I’ve come to accept it, so when I have a day off I indulge in sleeping in until 9 or 10am. But I still feel the guilt. I toss and turn, battling the feelings that are keeping me from truly enjoying this time that my body occasionally needs. Maybe it’s that I’m programmed from years of inflicted shame on the matter to feel like I’m doing something wrong. Does anyone else struggle with this?? Would love to hear your thoughts! 🦉🌙 💤

Caffeine is a tricky subject because most people respond well to drinking caffeine. But for most other people, drinking a cup of coffee everyday is linked to elevated levels of cortisol, lower levels of serotonin, dehydration, and low stomach acid. This is why it's a no-no in the #CEP protocol and frowned upon in the autoimmune world for the most part. If you have trouble managing anxiety, sleep, blood sugar, or digestion, avoiding caffeine should be an obvious decision.

Colorado has seen over 41,000% increase in children w/ ASD since the early 1990s.

Recent CDC data released in fall 2017 indicates 1 in 36 now have autism. The same data found the rates to be 1 in 28 for little boys born between the years 2014-2016.
.
MIT researchers have suggested by the year 2032 the rates will be 1 in 2-3 children, if the current increase trend continues.
.
Per Hertz-Picciotto 2009 study published in Epidemiology, earlier diagnosis and changes in diagnostic criteria only accounted for 1/3 of the increase in total rates of ASD.
.
We are undoubtedly in an epigeneitc autism epidemic, warranting immediate action. Starting with the Colorado department of public health and environment properly tracking and reporting the rates, as they are responsible for by law but have been derelict...

Have you ever cut out gluten from your diet for health reasons, but you still experience sypmtoms several months later? Or how about following a specific protocol (ex. the Shoemaker protocol or AIP) for months upon months, maybe even years, and you see significant improvement but you're still not feeling 100%? Maybe its time for testing. GEnomic testing to see if you a candidate for the CEP protocol.
Maybe you have had testing- and still aren't done healing (there is a reason why)
If you have been doing AIP for years and are still not done (there may be a genetic reason why)
If you are still having symptoms and losing foods: its time for something else (because there is a reason why)
If you are still gathering diagnoses or still having adrenal insufficiency, its time for something more. (because there is a reason wjy)

As depicted, it is important to be mindful of what you are eating. Don’t eat on the run, sit down and be present when you eat. Chew each bite 20-30 times. This is important for digestion. Lastly, listen to your body....ask yourself how your feeling after a meal, or even 12-24 hours later...if you experience discomfort, bloating, and/or gas it may be a certain food you ate and could be a food intolerance.

How are you defining yourself? People struggling with a chronic illness are prone to compare their lives to the lives and bodies of "healthy people". They see their lives and bodies as "less than", and they heartbreakingly call the people without chronic illnesses the lucky ones.
Sometimes we let dark voices of the world and our minds steal our joy and celebration of even our healing because these voices tell us we are fat, ugly, weak, etc - even AFTER we start healing- stealing the joy and excitement of the progress we have made.
Healing journeys are an incredible lesson in self love. You absolutely HAVE to love yourself into healing. You CANNOT heal in a state of self loathing. Its impossible. Healing takes self care, literal plates of self love, boundaries made out of self respect and naps made out of self- forgiveness. You wouldn't beat a child on a sick day..so don't do it on your sick days.

I've been there. At one point I was dealing with multiple autoimmune diseases and I couldn't function for a long time. I starved myself for two decades, I picked apart my body, I put my hips and height down, I fought and struggled until I didn't. I got better because I learned to love myself, my body and my journey.
You are beautiful, your journey is necessary to make you whole. Its your soul that also needs to heal. Love heals. Use it to help you heal

A minha alimentação mudou completamente desde que comecei a praticar Ayurveda, a Medicina Tradicional Indiana. Com isso, minha pele, minha vitalidade, digestão e muitos outros fatores da minha saúde melhoraram muito.
Através da Ayurveda, descobri que não basta ter uma alimentação orgânica, com produtos frescos, naturais e da estação. O mais importante de tudo, é seguir uma dieta que atenda as minhas necessidades específicas dentro da minha bio-individualidade, ou seja, meu dosha predominante. Caso isso não aconteça, há uma grande chance de ter acúmulo de toxinas que vão ocasionar desequilíbrios e atrapalhar as funções básicas do organismo.
