Lunch at De Kas restaurant & nursery is set in a greenhouses which date back to 1926 and used to belong to the Amsterdam Municipal Nursery.
They cultivate their our own herbs and vegetables.
Flavours of the food where particularly on the acidic side yet quite balanced.
These delicious metallic tasting Platte Zeeuwse oysters that reminded me of the rare Clochester native oysters which I have not been able to find anything similar for the past 10 years until now!
Marinated Mackerel with roasted beats and vinaigrette,
Marinated kohlorabi with red onions, lime and lovage cream,
Cod fish with braided crispy Brussels sprouts and almond curry.
It’s lovely to sit inside a greenhouse and I highly recommend this resturant and especially during Oyster season! #brianchowamsterdam
