—While I may be older and wiser now, young people need representation especially young black people and more elders willing to pass on knowledge. —While I recognize Herbalism is about the plants and not necessarily the people, (debateable) I also recognize that what we call herbalism in modern tongue is simply ancestral knowledge and magic that was passed on between families about how to care for, Tend to, and receive the benefits from the land on which we lived
—Your mama and grandma would have taught you her ways (hoodoo. But I digress) and through the strength in her face and the knowledge and patience in her voice you would have known the importance in the information you were receiving.
—So For women like myself who recognize when our herbalism has reached that point where we need to dig into the mines of our elders, I want to share with you that there is a community for us and platforms like these help us make our community a larger. So if you are apart of that #blackandgreen tribe ladies like @rootsofresistance @remedies_moon_botanicals are great sistas with a wealth of knowledge to share and projects to be apart of. Let’s uplift one another. We are here and we are Black.. n #Green. ⠀⠀ -мαмα тմи∂ɛ Ŀσϯմς 🌱
