Early in the morning doing some research on herniated disc and great information I like to share with people who having the same issues. Retraining the back is very important to rebuild and strengthen it stronger. Some people think I'm crazy for working out like I do but it won't get better by laying in bed. Yes it hard dealing with ups and downs on daily basic but I love working out, not jumping back into heavy lifting yet, just light work for now😉

200kg deadlift for 15 reps. Had to go to dark place to get the 15 I wanted! Very happy with this and the lifts from the last week. The 1rm calculator gives me 300kg for 1 so will be Interesting to test this soon. Thanks for the extra push @ryanmackinsbodybuilding

Here’s an interesting thought for anyone trying to maximise muscle growth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Free weights are incredible at building muscle but can be very limited because they don’t always maximise the role of gravity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However using cables you can produce tension over a larger portion of the muscles active range of motion. The torque and tension being applied to the muscle is greater meaning better adaptations in the long run. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Think of a standard BB bicep curl. Sure it’s a good exercise but the first 1/3 of the rep the weight is spending much of its time in the horizontal plane and not much in the vertical plane. Gravity doesn’t really operate horizontally, so your essentially missing out on force that will stumble growth for that 1/3 of the rep. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is my favourite exercise for targeting the long head of the biceps. And working them through their full active range of motion. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Give this a try instead of a standard DB curl.
