Oh sleep, wherefor art thou?
I am learning first-hand what the real benefits of enough melatonin can do for your body, not just your sleep. Melatonin is your body’s natural hormone that regulates sleep and your body produces this hormone when it’s dark.
Most of us, including kids, don’t create enough melatonin because of all the lights we have on at night, whether it’s from a window, night light, power cord or electronics causing us not to get the real kind of sleep our bodies need. ️ Melatonin also works as a powerful antioxidant marching through your body while at rest, soaking up free radicals to rid your body of them. Some people, like me, who suffer from the stabbing feeling in my head frequently, have lower levels of melatonin.
