In a way, it's nice to know that there are Greek gods out there, because you have somebody to blame when things go wrong. For instance, when you're walking away from a bus that's just been attacked by monster hags and blown up by lightning, and it's raining on top of everything else, most people might think that's just really bad luck; when you're a half-blood, you understand that some devine force is really trying to mess up your day.
I am loving this series so much. I mentioned I didn’t totally love the second book, but this was one was better. I really love how Percy and AnnaBeth are starting to develop this forbidden Romeo and Juliet dynamic. I always love me some good Shakespearean drama ❤️
I also really appreciate the humor of these books and how modern they are because they feel more connected to the universe that I currently inhabit 😉
I do have a bone to pick though. So Percy is supposed to be this super powerful, one in a million half-blood because he’s the son of Poseidon, right? Well, why does he seem to be getting less powerful than he was in the first book? Or am I straight up crazy? Be honest. What do you think?
