We often hear from folks that they are unsure how to use the fiber produced in our region. It is sometimes hard if you are used to working off of published patterns with prescribed yarns to know how to substitute yarns or how to design projects based off of what is available here. So, we thought we would offer some inspiration with a Local Maker Highlight series. First up is the wonderfully talented Kris King of Longmont and her stunning tapestry crochet Celtic Knot Pillow. Kris used local, natural color, handspun Lincoln, Wensleydale and Churro wool. You can find more of her work on Ravelry . username: thirdsister . I hope you check her out, and if you would like us to highlight your local fiber project, send us a message! We would love to know what you are making!
