5 common punching mistakes that can get you knocked out. .
.
1) Exposed the chin during the jab. Many fighter will somehow expose their when throwing the jab. Some do it by lifting their chin during the jab. Some do it by leaning forward and pulling their head in with the jab. Some fighters don't even have their glove covering their face when they jab. .
.
2) Dropped the right hand during the left hook. This is one of the deadliest and most common mistakes. Even for professional guilty of this at time. Just about every boxer at some point in his career will drop his right hand when he throws his left hook. Most guys will cover their chin but hardly ever the forehead. Other guys drop the right hand all the way down to their chest when they throw the left hook. .
.
3) Telegraphing the right hand. Many fighters have a terrible habit of moving their right hand from position before they throw a right. Some telegraph by lowering their right hand, others will pull back the tight just before the punch. .
.
4) Exposed body. This is common and inevitable fact of punching. Your opponents body will be exposed if his arm is extended during a punch. He can tuck his chin behind his shoulder or lean his head out of the way but his body will be wide open if you can get to it. .
.
5) Lifted balance. This is another common mistakes committed by just 90% of all beginner boxers. They lift their hips when they punch. It's like jumping elevation of the hips. The two reason this problem is common are probably because they believe it's necessary to reach with a punch and they believe it gives the punch more power. It's probably the incorrect attitude of believing that exploding upwards during a punch adds power. .

7 basic punching tips. .
.
1) Relax. Being relax save energy and allows you to punch harder. Your muscle be calm and fluid, allowing the energy to glow throughout your entire body as you throw the punch. Being tense stops the energy flowing and prevents you from throwing your best punch. Find power through relaxation. .
.
2) Aim. Keep your eyes on your opponent. Don't look past him, don't look down. When you throw a punch, make sure you look at the target. You should be careful not to look so intensely at a target before you throw since this telegraph the punch. Never look at the body when you throw down, keep your eyes on your opponents head and shoulders. .
.
3) Exhale on every punch. Always breath out on every punch. Make a small breath, don't exhale all of the air in one punch. As you throw combinations, you will let out spurts of air with each punch. The shorter and more explosive the exhalation, the better. Compact explosive breathing will result in compact punches. .
.
4) Timed impact. Hit with force of your body all at once. When you exhale, your entire body moves and hits simultaneously. From head to toe, everything move all at once. The foot pivots, the hip turn, the shoulder rotate, the arms extend, and the fist tightens. .
.
5) Keep your balance. Always beware of your balance. Don't push into your opponent exert power by finding contact with the ground. Don't lean your head past your knees. The best way to develop balance is to practice your punches with shadowboxing, not the heavy bag. .
.
6) Cover with the opposite hand. When you punch with one hand, protect yourself with the other hand. The hand that's not punching should always be defending. Defend with glove covering the chin and the elbow protecting the body. .
.
7) Recover. Recover the punching arm quickly to cover vulnerability you created while punching. Be careful, however not to retract too quickly or your punching power will suffer. This mistake is known as pulling your punches. Training will help you sense the right time to retract your fist. .

The basic skills of boxing you must know. .
.
1) Good boxing stance. The important of good stance cannot be stressed enough. A good stance provides balance, and is a key to both attacking and defensive techniques. Boxer should be able throw a punch without losing their balance. Being off balance allows an opponent to get in with their own blows. .
.
2) Good footwork. Good footwork is important to enable the boxer to defend or attack from a balanced position. The key to good footwork is speed, and this can enhanced by improving fitness with particular attention to the leg. One good activity for improving footwork and fitness used by many boxer is skipping. .
.
3) Good punches. Good punches is not come from just a one punches. The key to good punches is through technique, combination and the quickness of the punches. .

How to be a good boxer. .
.
1) Always practicing your punch. Do with a correct form, learn the basic things first and practice it daily. Throw more combination instead of one punch. Join boxing class instead of training on your own. Practice on punching bag and hit the speed bag. .
.
2) Working on your defensive skills. Practice getting hit for being confident and comfortable. Move your head, slipping side to side, spar with another boxer, interrupt your opponents punches and shadow box to practice your skills. .
.
3) Conditioning your body. Jump rope to improve your footwork, jog to increase your endurance, stretching to be more flexible to improve your performance, lift weight to increase strength and do interval training. .

Boxing can improved your total body strength. .
.
All that punching movement and jumping requires a surprising amount of strength. Think about it, most professional heavy bags weight at least 100 pounds even more. .
.
During a boxing workout, you may punch a bag hundreds of times, requiring your upper body, lower body, and core to engage as you make contact with the bag. .
.
Plus, most boxing workout incorporate other strength training moves into a boxing workout like squats, pushups, planks, and weighted medicine ball exercises all within the context of your fast-paced. .

This is four punching tips that you can use in boxing:. .
.
1) Turn your whole body into the punch. If you feet are slow, you will find that punching a little slower actually hits harder than punching faster. So in other words, punch as fast as your body can turn so you won't sacrifice power. Again, use your whole body instead of just the arm to punch. .
.
2) Throw short hooks, short uppercuts, and short right but long jabs. .
.
3) You don't have to throw one knockout punch after another. Combo light and hard punches and use head movement to fake out your opponent. Remember that the harder you try, the harder they will counter, and the harder you will get hurt. Calm down and throw the hard punches when you know they will land. .
.
4) Never forget to go to the body. Try a jab to the head, and right hand hand to the body. When you are in real close, lean your head inside to smother him and throw 2-3 body punches. #IkramTyson . .
