Marsha & Ed’s vows. Also: some news!
We’re designing a flatlay styling course for y’all at the moment. It’ll dive deep into the how and most importantly the why! So often a flatlay seems like just a random collection of pretty things laid out on a nice surface. But if it’s done with purpose, every element is meaningful and the overall image makes immediate sense.
Take this simple detail shot of Marsha & Ed’s wedding stationery. The styling surface is wood with strong grain and texture. It sets the mood for the shot (and this elopement): earthy, natural, raw. Placed on top just one single styling element - Black sand from the beach at Vik where Marsha and Ed spoke their vows to each other. The stationery itself inspired by said beach, with cotton paper dipped in ink swirls to imitate the light and shadow of the waves swirling over the black sand. Nothing random about any of this.
More of this to come! Can’t wait to share the free (yas!) course with you all. We’ll go live at some point to let you watch us create the sample flat lays for the course. Be sure to follow along. And if you want to be one of the firsts to get your hands on the free material, sign up for our mailing list - link in profile.
